Abstract

This study aims at determining the extent to which students are affected by replacing classrooms with homerooms in terms of the students’ learning performance and academic achievement through being affected by the determinants of the internal space on their learning behaviour, and finding appropriate solutions for the internal domestic spaces to be suitable for the general academic atmosphere. The descriptive analytical approach was used by the two researchers through building the basic concepts and their indicators (those that are related to the fixed variable and the dependent variable, in other words, the home rooms). The questionnaire was then applied to a random sample of undergraduate students in public and private universities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, an analysis of students’ impact of room replacement in the Corona pandemic (COVID 19). The study concluded that students have been negatively affected both psychologically and morally. Their achievements in distance learning dropped, and they preferred visual and sensory contact with university professors over distance learning. It became clear that homerooms cannot reach the level of equipped classrooms. Students’ commitment to attendance also dropped and they confirmed that dealing with their classmates in person make them feel better both psychologically and education wise.
