Abstract

The Purpose of the study was to investigate the relations between anger behavior and parenting styles among Secondary School Students. The sample of the study consisted of (310) secondary school students selected randomly from the population of the study. To achieve the aim of the study, anger scale consisting of (19) items, and Parenting Styles Questionnaire consisting of (45) items were used. The parenting questionnaire consisted of three parenting styles; democratic, authoritarian and permissive. The results of the study indicated significant gender differences favoring males, while no differences were found due to the class. A positive significant correlation was found between anger behavior and authoritarian style.
