Abstract
This study of al Aiyniyyah Qaseedah of Hassan bin Thabet attempts to explore the Central cultural and psychological insight of the poet in inviting Bani Tameem to convert to Islam in the year of Wufud, and that such insight was revealed among the Islamic party of Muhajireen and Ansar.
In Spite that the Qaseedah of Hassan bin Thabet was a Naqeedhah ,Muqaiyadha by the al Aiyniyyah Qaseedha of al Zabriqan bin Bader (Nahnu al Kiramu fala Haiyya Yu’adiluna...), Hassan was able to praise the Prophet and the Islamic party, to make Bani Tameem understand the message and to proclaim
Islamic ideas.
This study also highlights the style of al Da’wa and the art of al Wa’th, in addition to making use of Islamic methods of studing texts, which led to discovering and correcting of the mistakes that others made in their study of this Qaseedah.
These mistakes resulted from the assumption that Hassan’s attitude and convictions expressed in the Qaseeda were non-Islamic Jahili based on strong feelings for his people and their glorious past.
