Abstract
This study aims at exploring the role of Islamic education teachers in Riyadh region in promoting peace culture
for high school students from their point of view. The study sample consists of (559) teachers, and was randomly
chosen from Riyadh region. To achieve the purpose of the study, the researchers used the descriptive methodology
and developed a questionnaire consisting of (57) items. The items were distributed into three main domains: tolerance
culture, peace practices, and obstacles. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were measured. The
results revealed that the role of Islamic education teachers in the Riyadh region in promoting peace culture for high
school students from their point of view is high. The tolerance culture domain is ranked first, followed by the peace
practices domain and obstacles domain respectively. The researcher suggests several recommendations, such as
increasing the extent of addressing issues related to peace culture and tolerance through the Islamic education
curricula.
