Abstract
ANSD is often a misunderstood hearing disorder. Problems in
identification and intervention are exacerbated in the emerging / developing
world. Although there have been a great focus and attention on clinical
research related to ANSD, controversies still exist and many questions are
not yet answered. The goal of this lecture is to outline and summarize
the main concepts of ANSD as well as reviewing various available
management strategies.
